Borestone Mountain, Maine - "Islands in the Sky" Wellness Adventure

We are just back from our latest Adventure to Borestone Mountain Audubon Sanctuary near the 100 Mile Wilderness in Maine. Janita and I have had a great time with friends, crafting a future getaway for YOU! We selected some folks we really trust to accompany us to this remote and beautiful location in order to determine if this spot could work for bringing a group, and the answer is unanimously YES!

Here is a little history about the site:

In the early 1900s Robert T. Moore managed a fox ranch on what is now Borestone Mountain Audubon Sanctuary.  In 1909 Moore built the Adirondack-style lodges on Sunset Pond.  Moore bequeathed Borestone to the National Audubon Society in 1958, and gifts by his son and daughter and other donors enlarged the sanctuary to its present 1,639 acres. In 2000, the National Audubon Society transferred Borestone Sanctuary to Maine Audubon. Lucky for us, we can rent the lodges at the Sanctuary to hold private retreats!

We are looking into late Summer or early Autumn 2018. the trip will include three nights at the Borestone Mountain Lodges for a rustic mountain wellness experience, all meals, hiking, swimming, kayak, canoes, yoga, and meditation. Then off to the breathtaking Maine Coast for some time in luxurious accommodations, more yoga, massage, facials, sailing and MORE! Space will be limited, in shared accommodations at the Lodge, then you will be open to choose your lodging and dining space based on budget for our time in the Camden area.
We are still working out the details for transport etc. so please let us know if you are interested and we will keep you posted!

Island Wellness Adventures was designed to bring participants to remote and beautiful locations to which they might not travel on their own. We offer soft adventure, barefoot luxury and experiential travel while catering to and anticipating every need. We pride ourselves on selecting locations off the beaten path and enhancing them with a fine program, local and delicious whole-foods meals, and time to breath in the quiet surroundings and natural environment.  We hope you will join us on our Adventures!
